ABOUT

Throughout my time at Cyber Graphics, there was a good amount of work one for the brand Chasing Our Tails. The company is pretty large and deals with pet/animals toys, treats, and more. From producing prototype mockups to designins, this brand had a lot of work completed. For the design side of things, I got to work on a few projects. The projects I got to do design work on include cartooning, package design and branding/logo ideation. All of the designs I created for this company were included in the proofs that were sent to the client. The package design was not yet determined when my internship concluded, so I am not sure if one of my package designs was chosen, but I know the cartoon I created was chosen to be used in the package design! 

LOGO IDEATION

The Terrific Trainers Package was created because the brand, Chasing Out Tails wanted a “sub-brand” to represent their newest release of dog treats. They named the sun-brand Terrific Trainers, and wanted a logo created to be used as the main, large, logo on the package design for the line of dog treats. The clients was open to any fonts and color combinations as it was going to be considered its own mini brand within the main brand, Chasing Out Tails. The logos I created for this job ranged from fun, animal centered logo designs, to strictly professional typography based logos. Chasing Our Tails brand colors were shades of blue, so I tried to stay away from blue as much as I coud. In case they didnt want to stray way, I designed one logo utilizing their original brand colors. 

CARTOONING

The company wanted to have a cartoon illustration done of their English cocker spaniel, Bella. My station was the only work station with a drawing table at it, so I was trusted to design this. The company wanted to hve the cartoon of their dog to look welcoming, active, and happy. A few cartoons were created during the design process but the cartoon below was the cartoon that Terrific Trainers/Chasing Our Tails chose to use! I have never cartooned before, so this was an intersting and hard challenge for me to create. 

PACKAGE IDEATION

To store their new line of dog treats, the company wanted a package designed. The client wanted the sub-brand logo that was created fro Terrific Trainers to be the main logo used in the design, while still including the original brand logo for Chasing Our Tails, just smaller in size and not the first noticable logo. The package also had to include the cartoon that I designed of the owners dog Bella. There were going to be 4 different flavors of dog treats, and each of the flavors needed to have a speperate color scheme. For the proofing design, only the face panel was designed.
